FuFu Records Released Series Tracks 88 Double Happiness. Music Press Asia

Record cover - FuFu Records.

FuFu Records are about to release its last compilation of 88 – Double Happiness, a compilation series of eight tracks from Asian electronic music artists and producers, including Move D, Soichi Terada, Saoirse, Bezier, Kamma & Masalo, Camion Bazar, Holly Lester, Yoshi Horino, Merve, Chida, Yu Su and more.

To support the reforestation and rebuild of the habitat of critically endangered species, FuFu made an environmental decision to partner with NGO, One Tree Planted. This means that 80% of its sales will now go to projects in the region to support the cause mentioned.

Their first release of this series released in March earlier this year has already raised enough donations to plant 900 trees in the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam.

Its fourth and last compilation has gathered nine artists from 7 Asian countries — an absolute showcase of the new sounds of Asia. Other artists featured on 88 – Double Happiness includes Knopha, Yoshi Horino & House Violence, Galcid, We Are Neurotic, Stain, Mengzy, Maggie Tra, and Sojeso.

We have decided to feature three artists from the project:

Knopha (China): Comfortably smashing warehouse rave with broken techno, Knopha channels the gentle seaside ambient vibe of his adopted hometown Xiamen. It’s with this versatility (meaning both technical skills
and a monster appetite to find different styles of incredible music) that Knopha has earned a place in the top tier of Chinese dance music. He headlined at Elevator (Shanghai), Minh (HK), Savage (Hanoi), TAG (Chengdu), Zhao Dai (Beijing), Loopy (Hangzhou),
and Darker Than Wax (SG). When Ben UFO came to Oil in Shenzhen, he heard Knopha’s warmup and immediately invited him to
record a set for Hessle’s legendary Rinse FM show. Other standout sets include Red Light Radio and NTS for Pender Street Steppers.

Yoshi Horino & House Violence (Japan): Tokyo-based producer loves Underground Garage and Deep House. His music are characterised by its hybrid sound of old school gears and modern software. And has so far released music with House Cookin’ records (Belgium, White Deer Records (Mexico), Mole Music (Russia), Rokum Records (Indonesia), and more. Currently, he is busy producing, running his label and DJing regularly to help spread the auspicious sounds and vibes of Japan via UNKNOWNseason — a label that releases electronic, tech-house ambient tracks by Japanese creators.

Maggie Tra (Vietnam): Maggie Tra is an Australia-born Vietnamese/Cambodian DJ/Producer. Her day job involves spinning hip hop, soul, and R&B tunes to Disco. Over the years, she was invited to play in Brussels, Berlin, London, Australia among others. Establishing herself from humble beginnings, Maggie first rose to prominence as a music journalist, publicist, and radio host on Boxout FM. More recently, she founded Hà Nội Community Radio, a project aimed to unite creatives in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The music will officially release coming 16 December, 2021.
