After a successful European tour the second time round and the release of their last two singles, Voice Of Baceprot’s (VOB) is looking towards a busy 2023 live roster.
Austria-based artist booking and management agency GLP (Georg Leitner Productions GmbH) has recently confirmed that the rock trio has been exclusively signed to perform for Central and South America including Mexico.
“Last year, Voice of Baceprot’s show at the Transmusicales de Rennes in France was a monumental impression of high energy rock. Not for the faint-hearted, its enduring message as an all-girl rock band calls for peacemaking solidarity in a tumultuous time despite the excitement in their generation and era,” said Monica Tong, editor-in-chief of Music Press Asia.
VOB will be represented by GPL’s booking agent Fanny Jacobson in cooperation with Birger Gaetjens.
“We at GLP are very happy to welcome VOB to the GLP family as we think VOB stands for all that heavy metal represents: no matter where you’re from, what religion, skin colour, or gender you have, we are all equal,” said Fanny Jacobson.
“When we were first introduced to VOB, we were immediately impressed by the courage these girls show. The uniqueness of this band promises a lot of potential for a great worldwide career and we are very much looking forward to work with them,” added Jacobson.
Consisting of Marsya (vocals and guitar), Widi (bass), and Sitti (drums), the trio first met when they were still junior high school students in their hometown of Singajaya, a small village two hours’ drive away from the city of Garut, West Java. The word “baceprot” from their band name comes from the Sundanese language meaning “noisy”. It was chosen to represent the type of music that they play.
GLP’s roster currently consists of the likes of Lee “Scratch” Perry, Rick Wakeman, Asian Dub Foundation, Kim Wilde, Tokio Hotel, KC & The Sunshine Band, and many other established international acts from around the world.
This year alone, VOB has released single, Not Public Property and EP titled School Revolution (remix). Visit their official website here to listen to their latest performance and merchandise store.
