Physical: 100, which made history earlier this year has been picked up for a second season.

After becoming the first unscripted show to top Netflix’s weekly ranking for non-English TV programs, the survival game series in an exclusive preview of the final set in Goyang, South Korea, recently, will return with a new theme on a bigger scale.

The reality television show, the latest TV hit to come out of Korea, puts 100 extremely fit contestants, including Olympians, professional fighters, bodybuilders and former soldiers, through a series of quests to challenge their strength, endurance, agility, balance and willpower.

While no shows are ever great without controversies, its feedbacks and reviews focused mainly on the producer’s decision to mix ability and gender.

Physical: 100, produced by Galaxy Corporation, had a set equivalent to two soccer fields in the first season. And according to the producer of the show, the second season will see its theme set in an underground mind ‘where all of someone’s greed, sacrifice, competition, and teamwork intertwine’.

While the first season focused on Ancient Greece, the second season shifts the timeline a bit to the 1950s and 1960s; an era when ‘mankind faced fierce competition and had to live against and fight against injustice’.

So, when will the show be available on Netflix again? So far, no date has been revealed yet. The producers are still in the process of wrapping up the second season.
