Emiliano Cyrus Wins Global Chinese Pop Music Chart Award
EC Yiping (EC一平, Emiliano Cyrus) was recently awarded the ‘Best Male Singer Award’ at the “Global Chinese Pop Music Golden Melody Chart” seventh-anniversary ceremony. His new single ‘Ignite Dreams’ (燃梦) topped the radio and TV double charts.
As the theme song of ‘Peach Drunken Pinggu 2022 China•Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Triathlon’, ‘Ignite Dreams’ is an inspirational song dedicated to excellence in sports. And depicts an all-rounded flair of sportsmanship, where how one transcends through challenges and obstacles, ultimately emerging as the ultimate Iron Men.
This song is dedicated to spurring on athletes not just at the China Sanfo 2022 Triathlon but across the globe in the survival of the fittest. And is officially presented as a theme song for the sports event by the Chinese Government & Public Listing Company in China.
Already his second win, Cyrus won his first award at the same award ceremony last year – winning the Best Popular Male Singer and Best Golden Melody Award for his single “Faith” (信仰).
The ‘Global Chinese Pop Music Chart’ has received positive critics’ review for its professionalism and credibility, and have so far attracted other Chinese singers including Cai Xukun, Su Xing, Xiao Zhan, Xue Zhiqian, Yu Kewei, Zhang Jie, EC Yiping, Jane Zhang, Zhou Bichang, Zhou Shen and more.
In the selection of the list of this grand ceremony, in addition to a group of professional producers and music critics in the industry to check the quality of the songs, online voting was also conducted through Weibo, WeChat and other platforms.
Cyrus began his professional career as a singer, actor, and model at eight. And within a few years, alongside ambassador roles and many live performances within the South Asia region, he has already released fourteen singles and participated in four movies.
