Pinkfong Partners with NCT DREAM, Released Animated Music Video

Pinkfong, ‘Baby Shark’ creator teams up with K-pop group NCT Dream to produce animated music video of single ‘Hot Sauce’, a music video that has become synonymous with great dance moves revolving around a delicious dish.

Korean pop group NCT Dream is taking the Pinkfong world by storm in a newly released animated music video of the group. Music Press Asia.

NCT DREAM’s hit song ‘Hot Sauce’ was recently in circulation again. Released by SmartStudy in the style of Pinkfong – a children’s brand more famously known behind the worldwide viral hit ‘Baby Shark’ – the music video has already garnered over a million views on Pinkfong.

Along with the remixed song, the educational entertainment company, also released another collaboration; an animated music video earlier this month featuring the group members singing a new ABC song for children in the dinosaur world titled ‘Dinosaurs A to Z’.

“Together with NCT DREAM, we’ve created a special gift for all families and fans out there, regardless of age,” said Min Seok Kim, CEO, SmartStudy.

“We’re always looking to create opportunities where we can bring joy to our fans around the world and across generations”.

“It was a pleasure to collaborate with Pinkfong, the flagship brand of SmartStudy, and present the new version of ‘Hot Sauce’ to the fans around the world,” said the members of NCT DREAM.

“We hope that our fans will enjoy this new content featuring Pinkfong’s adorable dinosaur character and the 2D characters of NCT DREAM newly introduced through this collaboration”.

Launched in Korean and English, the full version of the video was premiered on Pinkfong’s Korean and English YouTube channels and NCT DREAM’s official YouTube channels on May 28. In addition, special merchandise based on the animated characters of NCT DREAM’s members wearing Pinkfong’s dinosaur costumes will be available from the middle of June 2021 on online and offline channels.

In 2016, ‘Baby Shark’ became a global sensation after Pinkfong, a Seoul-based production company, remixed, recreated and published the children song on streaming platforms. Centering around a dance with underwater animation, the dance has now garnered over 8 billion views on YouTube, beating Puerto Rican Luis Fonsi’s pop song ‘Despacito’, Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ and even Wiz Khalifa’s ‘See You Again’.

Reaching No.32 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2019, ‘Baby Shark’ also made it to the UK Top 40 list — this achievement alone prompted a spin-off tour, merchandise, book and even recreation of the song featuring Luis Fonsi.
