With audition deadlines looming, its ultimate goal is its Summer Festival in Hong Kong.
The program? It offers opportunities for advanced study, performance and international concert touring with celebrated artists and conductors.
Are you a musician or studying to be one? If so, look no further.
For a chance to participate at AYO’s Summer Festival Asian Concert Tour in Hong Kong, you must now look between setting dates in your diary for Jul. 13 till Sept. 1 this year.
Who’d you be working with?
First up are cello soloist: Jian Wang & Alban Gerhardt. The cherry on the top is having Joseph Bastian and Jader Bignamini at the helm.
With auditions being held at Manila, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Taipei, Seoul, Tokyo and Shanghai.
100 would be selected.
And plans, collectively, will involve 6 weeks each summer – through the 3-week Summer Festival in Hong Kong – then, another 3 more weeks on tour with guest artists and conductors.
Performance Tour
The tour will visit cities including Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Chiayi City, Yokohama and Tokyo.
With performance locations subject to change.

Previous Collaborators with AYO
The AYO is 33 this year. Over the 3 decades, guest soloist include Yo-Yo Ma, Sarah Chang, Vadim Repin, and Misha Maisky among others.
Previous guest conductors include co-founders Yehudi Menuhin and Richard Pontzious.
Others invited as guests are Tan Dun, Sergiu Comissiona, Alexander Schneider, Eri Klas, Okko Kamu, Matthias Bamert, James Judd, Joesph Bastian.
