Cashless payment gains popularity in Singapore sees Sandpiper Asia launch iGO app allowing fast and easy QR payments.

iGo launches QR payments at WHISKY LIVE 2017

iGo says it’s taking it’s cashless ecosystem to the next level for Singapore concerts, festivals, and shows. IGo is hoping to get its users to either top up credits on their event RFID wristbands or via QR payments with iGo credits stored in their smartphones. The Singapore based Ticketing / eWallet Cashless solution ‘iGo’ has announced they will begin in event QR to QR payments alongside their RFID (wristband/Cards) solutions at this year’s WHISKY LIVE 2017 in Singapore.

The true long-term benefits of iGo for the Singapore concert and festival scene is that there are only a few very large festivals spread across the calendar for Singapore, with more frequent small to medium size shows. With iGo, organisers get to retain their customers allowing them to carry forward credit balances and use them for ticketing and F&B regardless.

“We originally created the iGo app as a simplified extension of our RFID Cashless event services, whereas iGo allows customers to retain, plus add to the balance in their iGo accounts for new events, F&B spend, all the while keeping them up-to-date with everything that’s happening in Singapore,” said James Kane, Director at Sandpiper Asia.

“With the recent national interest in QR payments, we will further expand our QR solution to F&B outlets and venues around Singapore starting January 2018….Tourists and locals alike who attend these large-scale events can easily download the app, purchase ticketing, set up credits, and have the freedom to use the balance in a host of activities around Singapore.” Kane added.

Via QR codes, Singapore tourists and locals alike get to enjoy the cashless ecosystem just a little further and is available on iOS.
