Ken Seki is appointed as the new rep for The Orchard in Japan

The Orchard, a pioneering music, video and film distributor, have recently appointed Ken Seki as Director to manage the relationships, strategy, sales and marketing for clients and retails accounts of the Japanese market.

This news is released just two months after the announcement of Sony merges RED into The Orchard. While there may always be internal movements within these companies, we may probably see the merges as a cause to this effect – new appointments as well as people leaving.

As the representative of Japan, Mr Seki will also be managing relationships with local artists, labels and retailers, objectively, expanding its global reach and opportunities in the growing Asian music market. Seki will report to The Orchard’s Vice President of Global Business Development, Tom Wheeley.
