Psy is one of the many nominee at Mnet Asian Music Awards 2016
The Mnet Asian Music Awards, set to happen on 2 December at the Hong Kong AsiaWorld-Expo, is predicted to be another blast of an event celebrating the creme de la creme of the Korean Music Acts in 2016. Some of its award nominees include NCT 127, SF9, BlackPink, Bolbbalgan4, Wonder Girls, PSY, TAEYEON and Ailee and more.
In addition to the usual red carpet and its slew of awards ceremony and convention, the Creator’s Forum – a professional music conference will be debuting its very first programme as part of the celebration and award show. The conference will feature industry professionals and experts from Asia and beyond to share ideas on further developing the industry, and to discuss potentials in the Asia’s music market.
2016 MAMA is Creators’ Forum, which is envisioned to be a platform for music industry professionals and experts from around the world to share their ideas on further developing the industry, and to discuss the present and the future of Asia’s music market.
Keynote speaker invited to the conference include Andy Ng General Director of QQ Music who will be presenting one of the most vital solutions to breaking into the Chinese music market and will be sharing some of its most successful case through one of China’s most popular music streaming service.
Josephine Cheng, COO of KKBOX will also be discussing the company’s growth strategies and how successful is K-Pop on its streaming platform. Ralph Simon will be interviewing Adam Wilkes President of AEG ASIA on the latest in the Live entertainment scene and touring artists across Asia.
Creator’s Forum debuts at Mnet Asian Music Awards
One of the biggest issues regarding the livelihood of artists big and small is largely a topic that continues to plague music conferences. With the existence of YouTube, music has become one of the most accessible and lively industry in the digital age. Tony Elison Head of APAC from YouTube will be sharing their part on how to support artists throughout the Asian region.
The conference will be closing with one of the most prolific interviews showcasing Quincy Jones , a record, TV and film producer and entertainment company executive with moderator Ralph Simon on his successful career in the music industry and advice to Asian artists.
The conference is set to take place at the Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel.
