Far East Film Festival To Host Focus Asia 2022

After a very successful 2021 hybrid edition, the Far East Film Festival launches FOCUS ASIA 2022, one of the leading markets exclusively dedicated to film professionals from Asia and Europe.

The three-day industry event is now a unique platform where producers, sales agents, film distribution companies, television broadcasters, VOD platforms and Internet Player Companies from Asia and Europe have the opportunity to exchange views and further develop their relations.

FOCUS ASIA 2022 will take place in Udine on April 26-28, 2022 and the programme will include:

  • ALL GENRES PROJECT MARKET
    The special platform dedicated to upcoming high-quality feature films in development with co-production or co-financing potential either with Europe or Asia. Click here for the selected projects for 2022.
  • FAR EAST IN PROGRESS
    The only works-in-progress section dedicated to Asian films in post-production looking for international distribution and festival premiere. Click here for selected projects for 2022.
  • SECOND-HAND FILM MARKET
    The section designed to showcase a fine selection of restored hits. Sales companies from both Asia and Europe will present their renewed flagship titles.
  • GET READY FOR CANNES
    A preview showcase of the upcoming films that will be presented at the Cannes market screenings. Panels, case studies, one to one meetings and networking activities to bring closer all our Asian and European participants.

Focus Asia is organized by Centro Espressioni Cinematografiche with the collaboration of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Audiovisual Fund and Eave and the support of MiC. It is developed in collaboration with the Ties That Bind workshop and promoted in association with the Catalunya Film Commission & Catalan Films, Europa Distribution, European Film Promotion, Golden Horse Film Project Promotion – Taiwan, HAF – Hong Kong – Asia Film Financing Forum, TAICCA – Taiwan, VIPO – Japan and Wyth.
