TikTok, the short video platform, is supporting Earth Hour globally through campaigns in Japan, Singapore, Korea, India, Malaysia and Indonesia to raise awareness on environmental protection.

TikTok launches the #SGEarthHour2019 challenge in collaboration with Earth Hour Singapore to highlight the important role of nature in everyday life and appreciation of natural resources including food, clean air and fresh water.

Special customised stickers have been introduced by TikTok as part of the challenge in conjunction with Earth Hour. Calling all influencers to be part of the event, Singapore’s pop icons, content creators including Kevin Lester [The Lion City Boy] to lend their support and use these stickers in their videos.

Born in Sydney in 2007, Earth Hour has grown to become the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment, inspiring individuals, communities, businesses and organisations in more than 180 countries and territories to take tangible environmental action for over a decade.

This year, Earth Hour invites everyone across the world to show their solidarity towards planet Earth by turning off their lights for an hour on March 30 at 8:30 p.m. local time. In Singapore, people all over the country are invited to join #SGEarthHour2019 by participating in Earth Hour events, such as the Festival of Nature at Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza.

TikTok users in Singapore will be able to use the special Earth Hour stickers from March 28 by uploading their TikTok videos with the hashtag #SGEarthHour2019.
