The Maui Music Tech recently announced its speakers for its upcoming conference in Hawaii which will be held on 8-10 December. With programmes including panel talks, workshops and discussions alongside networking events running throughout the three-day conference, international and regional delegates and speakers from around the world will also be enjoying one of the most pristine beaches and tropical islands in the world, Hawaii.

Some of the speakers including Jacqueline Sabec, Andrew Stess, Brian Zisk and Darryl Ballantyne are programmed to speak on a workshop on Creative Partnerships while the bulk of the programme set for the 10 December will include Cindy Charles and Shoshana Zisk in ‘Women In MusicTech Meetup’; ‘Building a Startup from Scratch’ led by Brian Zisk to include Gordon Schaeffer, Karl Fooks, Jonny Mack, Stephan Jacobs and Carolina Castilla.

Laurie Kirby, co-producer of FestForums NYC and Santa Barbara, will be speaking at the ‘How To Get The Most Out of a Music Conference or Festival’ panel on how to improve the fan/attendee/talent experience at festivals. A prpractisingttorney for over twenty years, the mother of three was the former President and Chief Creative Officer of the IFFS (International Film Festival Summit) and the IMFCON (International Music Festival Conference & Lineup Magazine).

One of the highlights of the event will have Brian Zisk founder of Maui MusicTech interview Shep Gordon founder of Supermensch whose experience include managing the careers of Alice Cooper, Groucho Marx, Raquel Welch, Luther Vandross, Kenny Loggins and many others. Shep was also named one of the 100 most influential people in Rolling Stone magazine.

Electronic music producer and founder of the startup app SESH, Stephan Jacobs will speak about his entrepreneurial pursuits for higher standard in studio recording and tour. His company SESH is a secure peer-to-peer marketplace for musicians which run an on-demand app for recording studios, rehearsal spaces, gear rentals and session players.

While the digital world may be one of the best places to market a product, it has also been one of the most crowded place packed with competitive deals and choices. ‘Amplify Your Online Presence’ will highlight some of the solutions to promoting and monetising an artists and their works online.

More local community discussions will also be held to include ways and challenges in preserving the Hawaiian music culture and its legacy. On the business approach towards a music career, Shoshana Zisk will led the ‘Business Strategy & Career Development for Musicians’ panel with music director & producer Joe Barham of San Francisco Music Alliance and Karen Fischer of Pasifika Artists Network.
