The 5th Petrichor International Music Competition has officially extended its application deadline, offering musicians worldwide a second chance to submit their work for one of the most substantial independent competition prize pools this year.
With a total of $60,000 in prizes, the competition spans 12 categories, selecting 36 winners and 120 finalists across disciplines. It is open to performers, composers, singers, ensembles, orchestras, and conductors of all ages and nationalities, reinforcing its position as a truly global platform for emerging and established talent.
The extension comes in response to overwhelming interest from applicants, allowing more time for musicians to refine and present their best work. Importantly, the results announcement in July remains unchanged, ensuring that the overall timeline of the competition stays on track. Prizes within categories range from $1,000 to $4,000, depending on discipline and level.
