The Manila Symphony Orchestra (MSO), one of the oldest orchestras in Asia, presents the first concert of its 99th season, In Pursuit of Excellence: 2025–2026 MSO Concert Series.
Titled “MUSIC FOR PEACE”, the first concert will be opening on Saturday, May 24, at the ALIW Theater, CCP Complex, Pasay City, at 7:30 PM.
This year, MSO will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the historic series of over 150 post-liberation concerts organized between 1945 and 1946. Among the music performed during that period were Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World” and Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, both of which will be performed featuring Berlin-based violinist Emanuel John Villarin (violin) and MSO Music Director Marlon Chen (conductor).

The Manila Symphony Orchestra (MSO) is one of the oldest orchestras in Asia and the longest surviving artistic institution in the Philippines.
